Perfect Family Getaway
Destin is such a great spot for a family trip. The water color is just unbelievable, and the sand is powder-soft. We loved strolling around HarborWalk Village in the evenings. Lots of places to eat and things to see for everyone.
The Beaches Are Stunning
The beaches are the real deal. Seriously, the sand is sugar-white and so clean. Spent most of my time at Henderson Beach State Park; it was less crowded and just beautiful. Perfect place to just unwind and soak up the sun.
Excellent Fishing Trip
They call it the 'World's Luckiest Fishing Village' for a reason. Had a fantastic time out on the water. The access to deep-sea fishing is excellent, and the charter crews know their stuff. Came back with a great catch.
So Much Fun on the Water
Destin has so much to do on the water. We rented a pontoon boat and spent the day at Crab Island, which the kids absolutely loved. It's basically a giant, shallow sandbar party. A unique and super fun experience for the whole family.
A Quiet Escape
We visited in the off-season and it was perfect. The beaches were so quiet and we could just walk for miles. It was nice to experience the town without the huge summer crowds. Found some great, low-key seafood spots away from the main drag.
Beautiful Scenery and Great Food
The water here is a stunning emerald color, even in winter. The sunsets over the Gulf are spectacular. The best part was getting a fresh grilled Grouper sandwich from a local spot right by the harbor. Simple and so delicious.
